Service Animal Policy
Service animals are dogs who are trained to perform a specific task for their owner. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals. Students with questions about the use of a service animal are welcome to meet with the disability service office. Employees requiring the use of a service animal may contact the Human Resource office.
- Owners of service animals are solely responsible for any damage to persons or property caused by their animal.
- A service animal may be excluded from college property if they exhibit unacceptable behavior or pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others.
- Animals are to be under the control of a handler at all times.
