Firearms and Weapons Policy

Firearms and Weapons Policy

Firearms and other weapons are not permitted—concealed or not concealed, with or without a concealed-weapon permit—on property owned or controlled by the college without specific written permission from the Vice President of Student and College Services. Facsimiles or replicas of firearms or weapons are also prohibited. Law enforcement officers, security officers, and others specifically authorized by this policy to carry a firearm or other weapon on campus do not need specific written permission.

Because these items pose a clear risk to the persons and property on the Ensign College campus, violation of this policy may result in immediate expulsion from the college or ban from campus. Suspected violations of this policy should be reported immediately to campus security (dial 2-2771 from on-campus college phones or 801-240-2771). Failure to report suspected violations may result in expulsion.
