IT 210 Linux Fundamentals

Introduces the student to the world of Linux. Explores how Linux servers are configured, including addressing, access control, and services. Shows the command-line power of Linux for a Linux server. With Linux becoming a sizeable part of any IT environment, this class will complement the student’s understanding of IT environments through experiential projects in addition to TestOut and prepare the student for a career as a systems administrator. Successful completion of this course will prepare the student to sit for the TestOut Linux Pro certification. Subsequent work will be required after the course for the CompTIA Linux+ certification and is contained in the student’s TestOut license.
