IT 255 Networking Fundamentals

Explores different hardware technology required to create a simple network including cabling, routers and switches. Explores the different layers of the OSI model using packet capture technology to read and analyze network traffic. Using several hands-on projects, this course focuses on subnetting and how to identify network IDs, broadcast addresses, as well as how to troubleshoot basic networking problems.
