IT 429 SOC Operations
The student will learn the basic infrastructure and design of a Security Operations Center (SOC). After configuring and forwarding NIDS/HIDS and Firewalls in the Ensign College Techlab, the student will spend time working as a Security Analyst testing SIEM configurations, filters, and queries. The student will spend time throwing different attacks at vulnerable servers and then verify that the traffic shows up correctly in the TechLab SOC.
