Overview
Innovation, change management, organizational effectiveness, and strategic thinking with an eye to the future are the primary elements of the Professional Business Management certificate. Students will be immersed in multiple projects that prepare them to help business managers create sustainable competitive advantage in an increasingly complex business world.
Career Opportunities
This certificate prepares students for entry-level business management jobs. Students with current or previous business experience can enhance their value to current and future employers.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the certificate, successful graduates will complete five courses, each with immersive learning experiences.
Upon completion of this certificate, successful graduates will be able to:
- Strategize and innovate through internal thought barriers and work environments
- Analyze, identify, and influence teams and other organizational spheres
- Lead and maximize the potential of those around them through personnel supervision and multiple leadership styles and group settings
- Develop strategic workforce initiatives in planning, recruiting, training and development
- Prepare supply chain objectives, goals and priorities
- Prepare financial statements pursuant to GAAP using the accounting cycle

Graduation Requirements
1. Minimum of 15 total semester credit hours as outlined
2. Grade of C or higher in all program-specific courses
3. Cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher
